About
Era Software built observability tools for the large volumes of machine data that engineering organizations produce, with a particular focus on log management: simplifying how teams collect, store and query logs at scale so they can understand how their applications perform.
Todd Persen, who had co-founded InfluxData as CTO and helped engineer the InfluxDB time-series database, started Era in Seattle in 2019 with Robert Winslow. It raised $22.3M, including a Series A led by Playground Global, and ServiceNow acquired it in 2022 to add log management to its Lightstep observability product.
Array invested in Era's $5.4M seed in January 2020, led by Foundation Capital, and again in its Series A.
