Workflowy is an outliner: one infinitely nested bullet list that holds notes, to-dos, plans and documents. Instead of folders and files, you indent bullets to create structure and zoom into any one to work on just that part, which keeps attention on what matters right now. It syncs instantly across web, desktop and mobile, is free to start, and offers Pro and team plans.

Jesse Patel and Mike Turitzin founded Workflowy in 2010 and went through Y Combinator that year. It has served writers, founders, researchers and planners for more than fourteen years and is now based in Centennial, Colorado.
