About
Zendar builds perception for robots that work in the real world. It fuses radio-frequency sensing with vision at the earliest stage, giving robotics teams pre-trained models that detect, classify and track objects through occlusion, in any weather or lighting, with much of the spatial detail of lidar and lightweight compute that runs on small, affordable hardware. It supplies sensors, compute and foundation models together, plus the tooling to train and deploy them.
Its founders built radar and perception for driver assistance and self-driving cars, where perception took most of the work; Zendar now opens that stack to other builders. Founded in Berkeley in 2017 and backed by Y Combinator, it also has offices in Germany and France.
Array invested in Zendar's seed round in August 2017.
